Sweet Surprise Ornaments - Tutorial for Scraps N Pieces

Hello everyone!

Today, I’m on Scraps N Pieces - The Blog, with a video tutorial, on how to make these cute Sweet Surprise Ornaments!

Quick and easy project, to use all our scrap paper from other projects!!!

For this project, I used Simple Stories Collection Kit 12"X12" - Oh What Fun. I had already used some of the papers for my Christmas Place Cards, and now I used the rest for my Sweet Ornaments.

Really loved this collection! So bright and cheerful designs!!!

So grab your papers and make some surprise ornaments to hang on your trees! You can put inside, your kids favorite candies and let them “steal” an ornament each day!

They will surely remember these Holidays!!!

Stay close, for more is coming up!

There’s a full list of supplies, in the description area below the video.
Materials used for this project, are available at

Until next time,

Mini Christmas Wreaths

Hello everyone!

Evening post, for the first time! But couldn’t resist!

My little daughter asked me to buy her some styrofoam wreath bases a few days ago. Today she wanted to put them on the Christmas Tree! LOL
I really had to do something with them!

I took a piece of fabric I had for ages, but really hated its grey color, so I had put it away… Cut about 2”wide stripes and wrapped them around the wreaths.

Then I took some hemp rope from Canvas Corp and wrapped it over the fabric.

Misted the fabric with water and then spritzed with Tattered Angels Glimmer Mists “Black Jerry” and “Verdigris” and Matt Mist “Peoney”. Next, I applied some snow paste all around the wreaths.

Decorated them with free printable flowers, paper flowers and snowflakes, cut with Tim Holtz Alterations Snowflake Thinlits #660059. Also used some shinny synthetic fibers and alpha stickers.

A very quick and easy project, made with scrap!
I have to tell you these are my favorite projects!!!

Hope you like them too!

Thank you for visiting my blog!

Until next time,

Flower Basket Upcycling

Hello everyone!

Today I would like to share with you a Home Décor project, I created for SCRAPS N PIECES - The Blog.

On my birthday, a while ago, my loved ones brought me a basket full of flowers! It was so beautiful, but eventually the flowers withered…

The basket, had all the potential, but without the flowers it was a bit dull, with no character… So I gave it a  little boost!

Mixed Media Twin Tags

Hello everyone!

I hope you all had a wonderful weekend! I wish you have an even more beautiful and creative week!

Today I would like to share with you my Twin Tags, a pair of mixed media tags I created by using packaging cardboard. For the colors, I was inspired by the various shades of yellow, purple, blue, orange, pink, and brown, that predominate in nature during Autumn.

I call them twins, because I created them to complement one another.

Could be a mother urging her offspring to follow her dreams, or could be a woman reminiscing her childhood and reviewing her life so far…

For this project, you can find a step-by-step tutorial over at SCRAPS N PIECES – The Blog.

Here are some photos. I hope you like them!

Born Bad - MM&A June Thematic Challenge

Hello everyone!

Once again with a car as a focal point!

I saw it three years later, in 1986, when I was 13 years old, but I will never forget it!
This is a mixed media project, created on a 12.5” x 12” piece of 300gsm Winsor & Newton Cotman watercolor paper. It is my entry to the Mixed Media & Art Thematic Challenge for June.
